Wooden Monkey Carvings
We couldn't resist this wonderful trio depicting the Japanese maxim of "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". I didn't know that the origins of this moral code lie all the way back in the 17th Century, and also just learnt that these monkey's are named - Mizaru (sees no evil), Kikazaru (hears no evil) and Iwazaru (speaks no evil). This set is really quite characterful and attractive. They're carved from a very light wood (they don't weigh a thing!) and I'm quite certain that they're not "fancy" carvings, but here at The Good Home we were captivated by the figures! And, while they carry an important message, they're bound to add some fun to your living or work space!
Dimensions
Each monkey is approx. 9.5cm tall
