Vintage Ridgway Tea Pot

Vintage Ridgway Tea Pot

The Ridgway company were one of the most prolific manufacturers of pottery since their opening 1794. Almost 180 years later (!!), the company was acquired by Royal Doulton, but in between they produced beautiful and stylish pieces as per the period. This great tea pot is part of their White Mist range and while I couldn't find the exact vintage of the design, I suspect it was produced in the late 60s or early 70s. The gorgeous autumnal pattern in browns, greens and yellows is printed on both sides of a very wonderfully shaped pot, and all this is topped with an olive green lid. I'm happy to report that the tea pot is in excellent condition, and there's no crazing whatsoever. This one is a real beauty!
