Vintage Metal Garden Set

As these old-school garden table sets go, this one has one of the bigger tables I've seen. Usually they're ample for 4 seats although of course you can squeeze a couple of extra spots in as you need. This one seats 6 quite comfortably - and with 6 matching chairs at hand, it's a gem. One of the chairs must have been replaced at one stage - it's slightly different from the other 5 (please see images) - so it sits slightly lower, but other than that it's a-ok and in fact, the odd chair out isn't very noticeable at all. Some of the grid work has worn in a couple of spots, but that's relatively common with these sets which date to around the 70s and which spend their days out in the rain, sun, and wind. We sanded off the areas of old, flaky paint and have repainted the table and chairs in a matte white metal paint, specific for outdoor use. I think it looks lovely and has many more years in it.
