Vintage Cheese Set

Our sweet cheese set is probably best suited to a family who enjoy entertaining and of course, a family that loves cheese! My husband and I had the good fortune to live in France for some years and no meal at friends was complete without the cheese finale, which always kicked off with an explanation of each cheese and the region it came from (this was of course for our benefit!). I have such fond memories of these dinners and always looked so forward to this part of the meal. This set makes me think of these most educational and most delicious meals :-) Cheese boards make for delicious and easy snack platters, a yum accompaniment to a meal, and a superb way in which to complete a feast. While the French may not need crib cards, I quite like these little ceramic cheese labels with room for the name of the cheese (I'd suggest using a permanent marker for writing the name in order to avoid smudging, and alcohol based sanitizer for wiping it off). There are 4 tags and a matching cutter (stainless steel with a ceramic handle) which of course is suitable for hard cheeses only. If you're a bit of a cheese expert, you could kick off your own tradition of cheese education!
