Whittard Tea Tidy & Vintage Marble Die (Each)
Except that they are both pretty cool, these finds are pretty much unrelated! Made by Whittard, our cool little tea bag holder carries an original print from "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. The image is truly fantastic and depicts the Tea Party, attended by the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the little Dormouse. The "Alice in Wonderland" range is still available from Whittard, and includes mugs and teapots too. I could happily own one of each, lovely as they are! I had some technical issues in transferring the images from my camera, so please note that the image is dark blue against white! As the die goes, this is a beautiful version of these. I've always thought they were paperweights, but I suppose they're nifty ornaments too. They're mid-century in vintage and seem to come in a range of sizes - this one being on the big side of the scale. It's in wonderful condition with a gorgeous patina in shades of cream, grey and orange, and the dots on each face are intact. Both of these little gems make quirky gifts, be it for someone near and dear, or for your own home.
