SitRite Chair (R600)
These locally made “SitRite” chairs were likely modelled on the Nordic Stokke version (launched in 1972!) which are great but also very pricey! If I’m not mistaken, the SitRite company have re-branded as Enzichair and continue to manufacture their brilliant version of the “chair that grows with the child”. The chairs are smartly designed so that the seat and foot plates can be adjusted for height, plus one plate is designed to accommodate their baby add-ons which one can purchase separately from the same company. These chairs can even be adjusted to accommodate an adult and I’ve been known to plonk myself on my own kid’s chair – so far, so good! The chair was in decent nick when we purchased it but we opted to give it a re-fresh with a light sanding and a new coat of varnish and it’s looking great!
