Vintage Sideboard

As this beautifully proportioned sideboard is veneered, we very gently sanded it and oiled it and the finished product is looking grand. The sideboard does carry some minor damage (see images) - these remained even after some TLC but are not structural in any way and aren't super obvious either. The left and right compartments are opened as one does with a normal cupboard, while the central storage has a flip down door which is quite handy for resting plates or glasses (or whatever else) as you extract them. The left hand compartment also features a lined cutlery drawer - while the middle and right hand cupboards each feature useful little inner shelves (one each) for extra storage. From the sticker on the inside door, one can tell that this beautiful piece is locally made (Gold Medal Furniture by BEB East London) but that was all I was able to learn about its origins. Sideboards are great pieces in the home - they are of course decorative, and they're fab for extra storage but also make super landing posts for photographs, a vase of flowers or a special lamp.
