Retro Sideboard

This beautiful sideboard needed a fair bit of TLC as it was clearly much used in its previous home! That said, it's such a pretty piece of furniture, made with a fine wood and veneer combo, and the lighter colour of the wood (possibly mahogany) is perfect for adding some warmth to a room. Complete with 4 drawers and a cupboard, there's a good amount of storage space. I do think the main cupboard was modified for the addition of a shelf... and the backboard was definitely modified for cables to pass through (see image that shows the small square cutout) - I suspect this beauty was used as a TV stand cum sideboard! At any rate, we've lovingly sanded the sideboard down by hand, re-sealed the wood and repaired and re-felted the cutlery drawer. So all the work was well worth it as it turned out beautifully and is as lovely as it is functional.
