Retro Flora Salad Bowl (R300)

Scandinavian design never disappoints and today’s Flora salad bowl is no exception. The beautiful textured glass design dates to 1966 and is the work of Oiva Toikka for Nuutajarvi Notsjo, Finland (now Iittala). The bowl features a delightful collection of flowers and plants all the way around, as well as on the bottom – inspired by Toikka’s love of nature. The design was discontinued in 1997 (although Iittala are currently selling “special edition” Floras in different colours). I believe that replicas have been made over the years although I have no idea how one can tell a replica from an original as the copies are of excellent quality. The beautiful glass bowl we have on sale today is the largest Flora size and is in great condition.
