Retro Magazine Rack

I really like this unusual retro magazine rack made from solid wood (possibly oak) and finished off with slender white rope. The rope is as we found it, barring a good clean, and we restored the wood frame which needed a re-fresh. I love the detail in the shape of the ends, and the wooden "buttons" on both sides; and with the boxy shape of the mag rack, I'm inclined to think it's a piece from the 60s or 70s. The piece is on the big side as magazine racks go, which I really appreciate as I'm the person who has part-read magazines on the go for weeks, along with a good novel, and the most recent knitting pattern on hand for good measure. The magazine rack is in excellent condition barring a minor scuff  at the base of one foot (please see image) and it's a relatively heavy piece given the size and composition of the frame.
