Retro Ashtray

At first sight, I was sure that this was a piece of Murano glass but on closer inspection I'm not sure as there are some very tiny small black specks on the inside of the ashtray. I don't think these are from use but are more likely from when the glass was blown - a feature one doesn't see in real-deal Murano. That said, one really needs to scrutinise the dish to notice these irregularities and rather, I was quite taken with the brilliant yellow and white of the glass. The piece also has a lovely shape to it and as ashtrays go, I'd say this one is tops in the looks department.
