Pilkington Tiles (Pair)

Stereotypes aside, one has to appreciate this sweet pair. I've certainly seen my husband and I in a similar prose and stance! Pilkington's Tile and Pottery started way back in 1892 in Lancashire and from what I can work out, they are still in operation having undergone various changes and handovers over the years. I've always been intrigued by their vintage tile images and sets (like this one). They almost appear to be stand-alone prints, presumably set up against a mono-colour tile backdrop. They're also available in an amazing variety of images... from flowers and peacocks through to abstract shapes. It's impossible not to love them and unsurprisingly they have become quite collectible.
