Part "Totem" Coffee Set

Perhaps one of the most lovely Portmeirion designs (aside from the pretty "Botanic Garden") is their Totem design, created by Susan Williams-Ellis, a formidable force in the world of British pottery design. Dating to the 1960s, the abstract and textured pattern that is Totem is quirky and unique. It was no doubt futuristic and unusual for its time! Sadly, the coffee pot belonging to this set was badly damaged, but the pair of mugs and saucers on sale today, along with the creamer are in excellent condition and make for a beautiful gift. I'd rather fancy them for my home office! It was a real challenge to capture the true colour in the images - I'd describe it as a handsome deep and dark olive green, which sadly doesn't quite translate on the images.
