Paper Towel Holder
In trying to figure out the age of our paper towel dispenser, I was surprised to learn that kitchen roller towel became popular way back in the 1930s, replacing the cloth versions. I always thought that this was a more modern invention. I really like the "Typhoon" roller towel holder we have on sale today - possibly my favourite feature is the stainless steel arm which looks really great but also keeps the towel from annoyingly draping off the roll. As far as I know, the Typhoon company is contemporary and I'm pretty sure that the holder is relatively new too, but it was designed in a decidedly retro style and with some clear signs of use (please see images) it's absolutely taken on some vintage character which is always a big plus in my book!
