Noritake Royal Crockery Plates & Side Plates

I was quite surprised to learn that these plates, carrying the “Dolly 418” design, date from the 1950s because each piece is in perfect condition and in fact, it looks as though they have never been used! The blue floral pattern is fresh and clean, and the gold trim on each plate is intact and shiny as ever. According to the Noritake Collectors Guild website, crockery carrying the RC Japan stamp as marked on these, were destined for the export market, which is fabulous news for us as we’re able to enjoy these iconic Japanese treasures. Please do take note - to my eye, the larger dinner plates are relatively petite, so I wonder if they’re not what one would traditionally consider a salad plate; but the small side plates are a more regular size.
