Mid Century Mikasa Tea/Side Plates (Set of 6)

Japanese-made Mikasa wares are so tricky to come by, especially locally. Their wares are known for quality and fabulous design. True to all things Mikasa, the "Cloisonne" design of brown leaves set against an amber background, is so lovely! It's an unusual and striking pattern, and the glaze is bright and just slightly textured (I tried to capture this in the images but I'm not sure these do it justice!). The leaf print is just slightly raised and a little rougher than the smooth amber backdrop. The design dates to the 70s and the set of 6 plates is in excellent condition.
