Mikasa Coffee/Tea Cups (Set of 6)

This great ceramic coffee set from wonderful Mikasa dates to the 1970s and is also the work of Ben Seibel. Like the plates, there's a wonderful simplicity to the design, but there's nothing dull about this lot - the saucers and cups have a distinctive and attractive shape, the chocolate brown finish is pretty slick, and the fact of the cups being a generous size always makes my heart swell - these are ample for a good sized cup of coffee, much needed every morning, and especially on these chilly ones! I also like that if you choose to skip the saucer, the mugs look pretty great regardless. The set is in tip-top shape and like the tea plates, I don't think that they've ever been used. With sets of 4 going for $95 and up, I think this lot are an all round win!
