Mid-Century Greaves & Thomas "Put U Up" Cabinet

As a fan of British furniture manufacturers, Greaves & Thomas, I was really thrilled to find this stylish cabinet from their "Put U Up" Range. The cabinet was designed to be modular and attachment pieces included a corner unit. As far as I can tell, the "Put U Up" range kicked off with a sofa bed which turned out to be one of their most popular pieces in the 1960s. I'm guessing that the modular storage units were a nod to ease of use and practicality of the sofa bed. We restored the mahogany finish on the unit and it's in excellent condition, with the original door handles. And it's as sturdy as the day it was made. This one's a gem and I'm not quite sure how I'll part with it!
