Metal Storage Box

I'm a little mystified by this metal, locker-style storage box as I've never seen anything quite like it. But it's really very cool and certainly makes for novel storage options! There's no actual lock on the lid, which is on hinges and simply lifts open. We gave the box part a fresh coat of paint (it was originally white, but a little scruffy and rusty from age) both outside and inside. My very favourite part of the box though has to be the brilliant contact adhesive print on the lid depicting parts of the alphabet with some fantastic images to match (like "k - king"). We gave the adhesive a good clean but as you can see from the images, it's somewhat damaged. Nonetheless, we couldn't quite bear to pull it off and replace it as it's so fun and unique! (we did try to find something similar* - but no luck...). So, here it is: a refreshed base and the original lid - I'd say an ideal home for toys, swimming towels, garden tools, shoppers... too many options to list really!
 
*We can replace the print on the lid with a plain colour alternative if preferred, at a small additional cost.
