Bisque Leaf Porcelain Vase by Heinrich & Co. (R480)
These mid-century (1950-70s) vases have a fairly classic shape but the leaf detail imprinted on the vase is so handsome and to be honest, I’ve found it slightly compulsive to reach out and touch the motif! I have seen different maker’s marks on these vases – always Heinrich, but somewhat different designs, and am not sure what these indicate – so if anyone out there knows, please do share! I suspect it may be related to the decade of manufacture, but I’m really not sure. Given their beauty and unique design, it’s not surprising that these vases have become collector’s items and sell for decidedly eye-watering prices ($100 plus!) so our little vase comes at a sweet deal. The vase we have here is in excellent condition with no marks, nicks or dents, and is certainly worthy of a special spot in a Good Home.
