Large Italian Hand-blown Pedestal Vase

This may be the largest and most impressive pedestal vase I've seen - it's been beautifully made with very delicate ribbing at the rim, a very generous bowl, and a decidedly stylish foot and base. And of course, I have a thing for amber glass so in my book, this is one fab piece of vintage glassware! The vase still carries the original maker's sticker, and unsurprisingly it originates from Tuscany, and may well be an Empoli piece but I can't be sure. I've seen these used mostly as display pieces (a collection of them do look rather fantastic!), but perhaps my favourite display has been one of these large versions filled with wine corks and set on a drinks trolley!
