Krost Steelware Tool Box (R150)

This old Krost Steelware box has certainly been much used and much loved in its life – it’s quite dinged and scratched, the handle has lost some paint, and even the latch for locking has come off. But all these features add to the charm of what looks to be a handsome, on-the-go toolbox. Despite all the knocks, the orange paintwork is still vibrant, and the original sticker is still attached despite the box getting a good scrub from us here at The Good Home. Obviously, as the latch is now missing, the piece is destined to be a one-spot storage vessel. While it may well continue its life in a workshop, I think it would make a fabulous bread bin (it’s a good size for this), but would equally make an excellent pantry stock box, stationary box, or playroom storage space.
