Greaves & Thomas Sideboard

We've fallen head over hills for this handsome sideboard, a kiaat piece from Greaves & Thomas. The piece was in very good condition when we bought it, but we gave it some extra TLC, re-sealed the wood, and had the original locks repaired (they had been forced open at some point) and new keys made. The British manufacturer certainly knew a thing or two about style and today their pieces are collectible, desirable and timeless. In the early days, they focussed on lounge furniture, but from the 1950s, they expanded their range to wondrous designer sideboards, armchairs and sofas. While they are no longer in operation, their classic pieces have thankfully remained!
The sideboard has loads of storage space with the left and right cupboards each hosting a shelf.
