Georgshütte Art-Glass Bud Vases (Pair)

The now shut "Georgshütte" glass factory had a long and sometimes challenging history, with some closures (and re-openings!) over the years. In their early days, the German company manufactured beer and bottling glass, but by the 1960s they started manufacture of beautiful decorative and coloured glass. The bud vases we have on sale today were manufactured in the 1970s, and are amongst the better known and much-loved designs by Georgshütte. While complimentary in style and shape, the vases are similar but not identical, but one is more lovely than the other. Both are really hefty for their size and are in excellent condition. With online prices for these at around R700 plus for one, I think this pair are an all-round win!
