Troyan Espresso Cups (Set of 5)

Troyan pottery comes from Bulgaria, and more precisely from the town of Troyan! The craft dates to the 1800's and the pieces come in all manner of tableware. I adore these espresso cups which are classic "Troyan" - the clay has a lovely red brown hue (because of where the clay is sourced), and the paintwork is stunning! Not only are the chosen colours unusual and fun, but the rather retro finish (unintentional I think!), is a total win in my book! One doesn't find Troyan-ware in these parts all that often, so I pounced on these when I found them, and had a fun time taking the pictures and soaking up that mesmerising design.
