"Duros" Dining Table and Chairs (Set of 4)

The handsome base, legs and floating top are classic "Duros" features... Like Airflex and Frystark, Duros was a local company and made some pretty amazing mid-century furniture, styled on Scandi inspiration. The company started manufacturing in 1904, and while I'm not sure exactly when they closed down (I've read the 1970s but it's tricky to know for sure!), I think they made some stellar pieces and they are perhaps my favourite local makers of good-looking mid-century furniture. If you're not too hung up on the details, what you have is a beautiful dining set to share a meal at. The table comes with 4 matching chairs, and while we are selling the chairs and table separately, I think they go so well together and it would be shame to see these part company! The table can sit 4 easily (two chairs on either long side or one spot at each side of the table), or 6 with a squeeze. The chairs are generous and super comfortable. We've restored all the wood and recovered the chairs in a handsome textured grey fabric.
