Wooden Pear Shaped Fruit Bowl

The beauty of wooden pieces never ceases to impress me, and our carved pear-shaped fruit bowl is no exception. The grain of the wood is beautiful and overall, the bowl is in great nick and looks to have been much loved in its life. It's possible that wooden fruit shaped bowls were a thing back in the 80's - my Mom had an apple version that I thought was most cool! So, I may well have a nostalgic attachment to our pear although one can't go wrong with pieces that are both functional and decorative! Aside from the fun shape, I like that the bowl is a decent size and can even hold a box worth of avo's! (see picture - yes, I bought an entire box of avo's!).
