Art Deco Style Drinks Cabinet

This wonderful little drinks cabinet turned out to be some work, but the end result has made it well worth it! It's impossible to know what kind of wood it was made from as the whole piece has been "sealed" with a really beautiful walnut veneer. We very gently hand sanded this, polished it up and replaced the top wooden shelf which was missing when we purchased the cabinet. The piece is clearly quite old and has been well-used so it comes with a couple of dings - the most serious of which are  a small chip to the veneer off the back bottom corner on one side, and on the same side, some minor lifting of the veneer (please see images) - also on the very bottom edge. Neither of these are particularly noticeable - but I suppose this side was clearly more exposed to the elements than the other, which is in perfect condition. On the upside, the fold down mechanism of the top cupboard, as well as the seal on the bottom doors are both in excellent condition. Combined with some beautiful curves and stylish handles, I think this little number will make an excellent and unusual addition to any space. Of course, it can also be used for any type of storage and I'd quite fancy it for an entrance hall.
