Mid-Century D.S. Vorster Mini Sideboard

I love everything about this sideboard from the clean lines down to the classic brass handles, and in particular, I think it's an excellent size - it's not too big or small so it has ample storage space and it's great for smaller living rooms, dining rooms or entrance halls. I can only assume that there were once two keys, but the one that is there opens both sides. The shelving smartly makes allowance for storage of taller items, and has two draws for cutlery and other smalls. The piece was made by D.S. Vorster and Co. so it's a local beauty, made from sapele mahogany. The sideboard was restored with loads of love - we stripped this one, gave it a gentle sanding and sealed the wood. The piece is in excellent condition.
