Large Vintage Bowl

When I spotted this stunning bowl, I was sure that it was a Swiss made "Reber" piece, but the mark on the base suggests not. It looks to say "BEHE" instead, but I can't get much more info than that, even after heading down a rabbit hole of beautiful Swiss ceramic-ware on Etsy and Pinterest. At any rate, it certainly looks to be vintage Swiss, and "folk" style to be more specific. The hues of brown on the outside are so handsome and are beautifully complimented by the pretty floral along the rim, but I was most taken with the base of the bowl - the bright and slightly textured paintwork is simply gorgeous. There is some crazing on the outside of the bowl (please see image) but otherwise, it's in excellent nick and generously proportioned. It's ample for loads of fruit or for a great big salad at your next gathering.
