Art Deco Beswick Ware Jug-Vase

I can't really figure out if this rare and unusual Beswick of England piece (design 394-1) was designed as a pitcher or a vase. I suspect the latter, but of course you could use it as either or if you wish! It has all the features of a jug - a spout and quirky handle, and it's a great size too, but if it were mine to keep, I think I'd keep it as a decorative piece and vase. Either way, it's a really beautiful piece, and you certainly don't see these every day. Over and above the fantastic design, the glaze is gorgeous and I'm not sure that any description could do it justice!
