Alfred Meakin Side Plates (Set of 8)

I'm not sure when the fashion of these kidney shaped side/tea plates really took off, possibly as early as the 1920s, but I think they're really pretty lovely. The set we have on sale today was manufactured by Alfred Meakin in the "Autumn Leaves" pattern (doesn't it feel as though we've skipped autumn and jumped right into winter?!). While the print is slightly more muted than our normal favourites, it's super pretty and can easily slot into an existing dinner service. The shape is grand and the plates are a really good size as side and tea plates go. The set comprises 8 plates in mint condition.
