Alessi "Bombé" Creamer & Sugar Bowl (Each)

The "Bombé" set remains the most popular tea and coffee set sold by the renowned and fabulous Italian enterprise Alessi. The set was designed by Carlo Alessi in 1945 and was his last design for the company before he became the general manager in the 50s. The set was first chrome plated but later production shifted to polished stainless steel. Along with the black bakelite handles and round lid handles, it's easy to see why the design was so loved and ahead of its time. Like many Alessi designs, it has also proven timeless and remarkably, the set is still manufactured today, although prices are eye-watering (the  sugar bowl and milk jugs retailing for Euro190 each!!!). The pair on sale today are a steal! The sugar bowl is in excellent condition and the milk jug too, although the bakelite handle has some minor heat damage (please see image) and some marks on the inside from use.
